'KA's™ Mocha Jake' Dahlia Tuber
A very fine, heavy-blooming newer variety from Santa Cruz Dahlias. This is one of our first offerings as licensed sellers of KA’s™ varieties and it is a good one. Blooms are reminiscent of ‘Cafe au Lait’ but in a smaller size, up to 5” across, held on the stem at a nice angle for arranging. The bushy plants start blooming early and don’t stop; they begin the season in pinker tones and fade to near white with champagne tan later. They had a lot of flowers even this year when the plants’ growth was stunted by heat and too much sun— a season in which many dahlia varieties barely bloomed at all. A great cut flower with strong stems and nicely upturned blooms filled with sturdy petals. Makes lots of good tubers; even extremely shriveled ones I kept had multiple sprouting eyes at planting time. I had only kept tubers of such poor quality because this variety is so expensive— I didn't expect growth from such shriveled tubers— but they grew fine. Worth the price it commands.

All tubers are shipped in April to early May (May 10 is the latest).
If there is stock loss or in the unusual event of an inventory issue, your order will be refunded.
Each tuber is inspected for viability and packed by Eva. We send only tubers we are confident will grow if treated properly.
We ship within the USA only.
Your tubers will arrive labeled with an abbreviation of the variety name on the tuber itself. The SKU number of each variety on the packing slip includes the abbreviation we use on the tuber.
Due to the volume of orders and our small operation, we cannot accommodate requests to ship by a certain date.
COMBINED SHIPPING: If you place multiple orders and want combined shipping, you must email us with ALL your order numbers by April 1, 2025 and we will do our best to combine shipping for you. Combined shipping is not guaranteed as it is a lot of extra work but we try to when possible to save resources (and shipping fees for you). If we are able to combine shipping for your orders, we will refund the extra shipping fees when your order is packed in spring.
