PREORDER either a 10-pack or 20-pack of mixed annual seedlings for an amazing cut flower patch in your own garden, blooming July to frost. On farm pickup in Craftsbury Common, VT (no shipping).
This Summer Brights collection includes my favorite annual flower varieties, and will produce a mix of shapes, sizes and textures in a cheery mix of reds, pinks, purples, yellows, oranges, and true sky blue.
Plants included:
Cosmos
Sulphur cosmos or gem-type marigolds
Annual phlox
Bunnytail or quaking grass
Cutflower type zinnias
Cliveden Beauty cut flower delphinium (a smaller flowering, more wild-looking delphinium that may or may not perennialize)
Weeping tassel-type amaranth
All are easy-to-grow and will be healthy transplanting-size seedlings at pickup time. I may substitute others in appropriate colors to make up a diverse and long-flowering mixture.
10-packs will contain 2-3 plants each of 4-5 varieties of flowers. 20-packs will contain 3-5 plants of 4-6 varieties. Plants come in 2.5” plug size packs.
Choose your pack size below— or choose a cut flower start collection PLUS a few dahlia tubers in matching colors (the varieties Sandia Brocade, Cornel, Cornel Bronze, Terracotta, Mystique are among those possible) for an extra impactful garden!
You’ll be notified by email when the seedling collections are expected to be ready for pickup; likely in late May at an appropriate time for planting. Be sure to double check your email address that inputs at checkout and make sure it’s one you use often!
More Info & Details:
Your bucket will provide about the right amount of mixed flowers and textures to amply fill a large (quart) canning jar once you’ve arranged them.
Colors & flower types are always the best of the season and will vary each time.
Flowers are super fresh, are harvested at the right stage to last, and will open in the vase.
Please return your last bucket when you pick up the next one.
The pickup dates for the whole subscription time period will be listed in an email we send you a week before the subscription starts, but will be every other week starting approximately mid-July and ending early/mid September. If you’ll be away for a week, let us know & we’ll work with you to make sure you receive all 5 buckets!
