White Turtlehead (Chelone glabra) Seeds

from $5.00

Chelone glabra (white turtlehead) is a beautiful wetland perennial flower in the snapdragon family, a lovely addition to moist sunny or partly shaded gardens. It is native to the US, including northern New England. These seeds were sustainably wild-collected by me on my land in late fall 2025. Offered in packets of 50+ or 100+ seeds (count is not precise and I packed them generously so there should be well over those numbers in each packet). I have not germination tested these seeds since they require a long stratification period, but have successfully grown many Chelone plants from seeds collected in fall from the same area of my land in the past.

IMPORTANT SHIPPING NOTE: Seeds will ship SEPARATELY from dahlia tubers in winter to spring 2026. Please ensure you place seed and tuber orders separately. Thank you!

GERMINATION INFO: These native New England wildflower seeds, regional to northern Vermont, require cold stratification to germinate. Cullina (in the excellent book Growing and Propagating Wildflowers of the United States and Canada) recommends 90 days cold moist stratification at 40*F; then the seeds need light at 70*F to germinate after stratification.
